You won’t like me when I’m angry, Tyler Durden.

Last night (this morning?) I awoke from a dream.

It’s happened before…no doubt it will happen again.

Anyway, in the dream I was stuck in a store overnight. I didn’t get locked in or anything, I was waiting in line to pay for merchandise. It wasn’t just me, it was a bunch of other people, which makes me think that it was a 24 hour store of some kind. I was buying a gift for Corinne (apparently), and the service at the store was so bad that people were waiting in line all night to get checked out/rung up.

I was buying Corinne a small (very small, like the size of a Read the rest of this entry »

Movies ARE NOT predictable!

30. The Chief of Police is always black.

57. If being chased through town, you can usually take cover in a passing St. Patrick’s Day parade — no matter what time of year it is. If you can’t find a St. Patrick’s Day parade, try for a Chinese New Year celebration and hide in the dragon.

106. If a phone line is broken, communication can be restored by frantically pressing the cradle switch and saying, “Hello? Hello?”

115. Villains are fond of explaining everything to anyone in sight.

122. Television news bulletins usually contain a story that affects you personally at that precise moment.

127. The most unstable object in creation is a roadside fruit seller’s cart.

If you’ve seen “Juno,” this is pretty good. If you haven’t seen “Juno,” it’s not as good.”

Turning Japanese

2 03 2008

I noticed today while watching The Karate Kid, Part II, that Mr. Miyagi can’t really speak Japanese. He always speaks broken English, even when he is talking to his Japanese friends in Japan. Now it’s one thing to speak English when Ralph Macchio is around so as to not leave him out of the conversation, but even when Miyagi is alone with other Japanese people he still doesn’t speak Japanese, just his fabulous broken English.

I know that Pat Morita doesn’t actually speak Japanese, at least that’s what I’ve heard. He really doesn’t even have a Japanese accent, as he was born in Las Vegas.

You would think that the makers of the film would have went for absolute realism and made him learn a few lines of Japanese for the parts when he is Japan.

It’s just weird is all.

Truth? Conspiracy? Lunacy?

31 08 2007

Check out this film, its almost 2 hours, might take a while to download, but I found it quite interesting.

It’s divided into three parts, and honestly I skipped the middle part because it was about 9/11 conspiracies (which bore me to death, as important as they may be).

The Simpson’s Movie

Corinne and I went to go wait in line at the theater about 2 hours before show time, and the line was wrapped around the building. We knew tickets were oversold, so we got out of there and didn’t even waste our time.

People were at the front of the line with chairs and camping gear. If you see that kind of crap, you’re better off just leaving.

Instead, we went to look at Read the rest of this entry »
