Concerning the bloke in the yellow shirt

For those of you that don’t personally know me, I’m a 28 year old Sicilian-American male. I currently live in Fresno, California (not Fresno, Texas).  I am currently employed as a driving instructor as I work my way through college and I have a history degree from CSU Fresno.  As a historian, I am doomed (but in a nice way) to be a social science teacher, lest I get a masters or doctorate and move on to greater paying and more prestigious history related careers.

I enjoy many of the finer things in life. Unfortunately, I usually don’t have those things, so I make due with my Coors Light Simpler Times Lager, water, ham (or tuna salad) sandwiches, and American Spirit Cigarettes random fits of frustration/anger/violence (not visible to the public or private eye).

The writings contained on this blog are an attempt to translate my thoughts and life experiences into even less coherent words, pictures, and shiny things. That’s right, incoherent shiny things.

Yes, I wear a variety of yellow shirts. And a jean jacket when it is cold enough. Pants, too. I believe it is because I’m so used to wearing a uniform that I find it simpler to just own similar things, which makes getting dressed easier. What am I going to wear today? A shirt and some pants. If it all looks the same, even better. That way all my pictures look the same too.

I’m trying to switch over to an even simpler uniform, those light colored, loose fitting shirts and pants that those Arabic guys wear. However, the wife says that if I start wearing stuff like that, all loose fitting, designed to hide the shape of the body, I would balloon up to an enormous size, possibly big enough to be featured on a talk show or even that TLC special about the obesity clinic.

I say “so what?” A world record is a world record.
